Plenty Of Dicks Review

Plenty Of Dicks certainly looks like they have a lot of content. On the tour page I am informed that there are over 5,000 guys and over 6,000 scenes to be had from this membership. If the members' area is anything like the tour, then my best guess is that most guys will be having a great time from the seemingly endless number of scenes.

One thing is for certain - the men are seriously hot. There are also a few really 'big' surprises when it comes to cock, as well. Initially, I thought this might be a stand-alone site, but it turns out that PlentyOfDicks is a network with access to four exclusive gay sites that include DickDorm, Papi, GayRevenge and BoysFirstTime. At the moment, there are only 611 full scenes, which is a far cry from a thousand scenes let alone 6000. I would have expected individual sites to add new content weekly, but it turns out the PlentyOfDicks network only lists seven updates every month.

The amount may not be in the thousands and it doesn't seem like the network is updating frequently, but it's not as if there aren't enough scenes to keep a person busy and satisfied. The page-top menu has a link to bonus videos, but it was empty during my visit and there is little else in the way of free extras. Also, navigation could be better. You can explore the content of the individual sites or you can sort all scenes by date or number of views, but that's about the extent of it. For a network, the features are sparse and could be significantly improved.

Content dates back to 2002, although the Plenty Of Dicks network is actually new. Prior to the launch of the network, my best guess is that you could purchase the individual sites. However, I like having four sites under one banner. Boys First Time seems to have an obvious theme, as does Dick Dorm. Papi is a site that exposed the gay party life and all the sex that goes along with it. Gay Revenge is more or less an amateur submission style site where exposing ex-boyfriends as a form of revenge drives submissions.

There are pictures and video downloads for all the episodes, although the newer scenes also tend to come with video caps. The actual picture sets have around 400 shots, while the video cap sets tend to have more. The captures are good for getting a feel for a scene or for zeroing in on a specific film moment, but collectors will prefer the digital stills. They aren't huge, but they are crisp, there are some great solo guy pictures as well as hardcore close-ups and you can flip through the slideshow or download full set ZIP files.

Full episodes, which are between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the action, are offered in an embedded stream. The streams are sharp, load quickly and play through as smooth as silk. The screen size isn't huge, but the quality of the images were great. Also, there is a filmstrip navigation tool so that you can jump forward or backwards through a stream at your leisure. Downloads are fast and full episodes come in WMV (1540kbps, 768x432) and MP4 (841kbps, 480x270) for mobile formats. There are also shorter clips and these can be streamed or you get a choice between low and high-quality WMV, and an MPEG (987kbps, 512x288) file.

Final Verdict

Plenty Of Dicks has some promise as a gay network, but it needs a few improvements. First, the tour promises more than the actual site delivers, which is a bit of a turn-off. Second, the updates are a bit slow for the individual sites. Third, there aren't any HD videos, although the high-quality streams and WMV files are very nice looking. Lastly, the site could offer more navigation features. On the other hand, PlentyOfDicks offers four different themed sites for a single price and the guys are generally a lot hotter than I expected. There are a good number of athletic men, there are twinks, you'll find a few black guys and Latinos and every scenario from solo to groups action.
